Is it possible to install Windows 7, Ubuntu, etc. to a network drive?
So, suddenly I wanted to reanimate my first pentium 4-based computer with the gadgets of our century (dropsy, a good video card, etc.), but the problem is that it’s stupid to go to buy a hard drive for the system, since the disks that were there have long turned into dust ).
Question: how can I make Windows or Ubuntu boot from a network drive on a home server? Is it possible ?
P.S. In Google I searched for nothing like this (I was already angry =D).

pxe-boot via tftp is an option, but uselessly over-engineered:
the home server would have to boot via another server running tftp. What's the point?
* in practice there was no need (I hope it will not be =)), because it is as an option
