Is it possible to install Linux as a dual-boot on a flash drive?
Hello.
I want to install a Linux distribution, not an external flash drive.
I have one for 64 GB (there will be an OS) and 8 GB (I will make a bootable USB flash drive out of it). Therefore, I will boot from 8GB and, when installing the OS, I will choose a 64GB flash drive as a disk.
Will it work?
Thanks

You need to:
- correctly partition partitions
- manually specify partitions for /root and /swap
- install the first system, install GRUB in MBR
- install the second system, while not installing GRUB
- manually specify partitions for /root and /swap
- edit the settings file GRUB the right way
If it is possible to boot a computer / laptop from a USB flash drive, then there will be no particular problems. The main thing is to carefully choose where the system will be installed and its bootloader is registered.
You can turn off the main disk during installation so as not to accidentally overwrite it.
