Is it possible to install a knife switch in the shield more powerful than the knife switch in the meter?
Good day to all. Sorry for the badly worded question. The bottom line is that there is a pole, there is a counter with a knife switch on it, I looked, there is an iek C32 knife switch, the most simple one, as I understand it. Out of ignorance, I bought a more powerful switch for the shield in the house, and with it the UZM-51 and the first and second for 63 amps. The question is how to get out of the situation? Thanks in advance for the information.

In general, wiring is selected for the expected load. Next, an automatic machine (s) is selected for wiring (wire cross-sections). Machines do not protect electrical appliances, but wiring.
In the case of automata, the rule "more powerful means better" does not work, and sometimes it can lead to bad consequences. For example, if the wiring is thin, and the machine is designed for a higher load, then in the event of a short circuit, the machine will not turn off, and the wiring will burn.
exchange / buy the right one or you have to "every time" (when the machine is triggered), jump onto the pole)))
isn't 25A enough for a house?
or do you connect some units < 5kw?
Read about "Selectivity" and purpose and decide what you need.
In short, then:
1. A 63A switch (if it is a switch, because the switch and the automatic device are technically different, although the second is often replaced by the first) - this is not bad in principle (even good) - it will perform its function of manually turning on / off the load, in this case, there will be no emergency shutdown and protection functions, and it will not heat up either
. 2. For UZM 63A, this is the maximum relay current. Because the principle of operation of the UZMki is based on the control of completely different parameters, then the maximum current is a standard characteristic for this instance of the series and it suits you
