Laptop battery control?

I am a little inattentive, namely: I often forget to unplug the charger from the laptop when its battery is fully charged. As you know, this adversely affects the battery, reducing its life. Someone from the users of Habr will tell you a program that will "beep" when the battery reaches the desired level (charge and discharge)?

this is not true. After the battery is fully charged, the controller will automatically turn off the power. But it is possible to disable the power connector or socket if you constantly plug it in and out.

There was such a problem, but for a long time, it makes sense to train modern batteries from time to time, discharging and charging, but turning it off makes no sense, they turn off themselves.

1. Different sources indicate differently.
2. In any case, when the charge drops to 99%, the adapter starts charging again. It turns out that the battery is constantly charged. This is not good.
3. I'd rather replace the connector by my stupidity than the battery.
