Only one usb camera is of interest, I tried motion, but the sound is very necessary.

Look towards GStreamer - it allows you to transfer both video and sound, you just need to assemble the correct chain - and at the output you can get broadcast or unicast broadcast over different protocols - UDP, RTP and different codecs
