Is it possible to have one global ruby handler?

Hello!
Nubian question, possibly incorrect in essence, but, nevertheless.
There is a task - to have several (dozens) small websites using ruby. I don’t really want to run sinatra for each site. Fence processing on rails - too (and rails capabilities are not needed there). Is it possible to configure nginx+ruby so that index.rb files are treated similarly to index.php? That is, to have one global interpreter.
Thanks in advance.
