Is it possible to generate a new Bitcoin address from a public address?

Che then wondered how they are generated?
From public or private key?
That is, is it possible to generate a new address for payment to the wallet if you do not have a private key on the server?

@Erixx

first, a private key is created, and from it the address is already created. the algorithm is simple and there are a lot of implementations in all languages.
here is a funny generator https://brainwalletx.github.io
private key is stored on you, not on the server.
you can "generate" an address without a key, and accept bitcoins on it, but then you won't do anything with them
