Is it possible to find an OS for an 8Mb router?
There was a lot of old hardware lying around - a PGA 370 motherboard, a Pentium 3 processor, a lot of memory and the main stumbling block IDE Flash 8MB.
I want to assemble a router that will distribute the Internet from an old Alcatel 3G modem Internet via Wi-Fi.
The question is as follows - is it possible to find an OS for a given task that would work on such a amount of memory?
Ps HDD does not want to connect, the OS board does not load from a USB flash drive.

Well, I think Linux can be installed so that the bootloader is on your IDE-Flash, and the OS itself is on a regular USB flash drive.
PS: I haven't tried it myself, I won't tell you the specifics
PPS: here's what I googled www.plop.at/en/bootmanager/intro.html
