Is it possible to directly edit (read/delete/modify) files in containers?
Good day :-)
I have Proxmox 3.3-5 There are
15 containers
in it. Is it possible to directly edit (read / delete / change) files in containers?
Containers are located in /opt/private/container_number
For example, from a script, search / scan the contents of sites for viruses / delete files.
If memory serves me right, then this is not recommended. But I don't remember where I read about it.

It is not recommended to do this precisely because while the VM is running, you will not be able to get a consistent snapshot of its container.
This, of course, can be done using a distributed file system between the container and the host, but it will be a fierce, mad crutch.
Another solution is to unmount the volume in the guest while you work with it from the host. Or pause the guest (provided that you will only read the container.).
Well, or share the volume in the guest via NFS or SAMBA.
Yes, you can change everything, not a single child will suffer. The symphony is there.
If simfs (seen in df -h and mount inside the virtual machine), then you can.
If not simfs - then you can read, you can not write.
Not recommended, but if you really want to, then you can, if we are talking about OVZ in proxmox.
