Is it possible to develop android applications on Mac OS?
Tell me, can I install, for example, Eclipse on Mac OS and quietly develop android applications? Are there any pitfalls?
Now I am developing for android on Debian, but there is a great need to develop for IOS as well.

he switched to a Mac from Windows. I used to develop for ios in poppy, for android on windows. Now everything is on the same machine.
I advise instead of eclipse - Android Studio.
I advise you to take the emulator from www.genymotion.com - many times faster and more adequate than native ones.
For Android, you can develop on anything. OS X is quite suitable for this.
I myself am sitting on OS X, but I have little development for Android. Basically iOS.
Potential gotchas:
- Keep in mind that OS X is BSD, not GNU. If you use bash / sed / awk during the build process, there may be differences.
- if you are actively using the emulator, do not forget to install HAXM on OS X, otherwise the emulator will unpleasantly surprise you with slowness compared to KVM based on linux.
Note: Eclipse is not recommended. Better IntelliJ IDEA / Android Studio
update: Google about installing Java on OS X. It's not there by default.
I have a Mac mini and Android Studio installed, but when I try to connect devices and debug, the studio simply does not see them, and the first one hangs tightly and turns on only after a reboot. What is my problem?
