Is it possible to develop Android applications in Java and Kotlin on MacOS?

Greetings to all users of the site, I would like to start doing mobile development for Android, I plan to start with Kotlin. I would like to know if it is possible to write on MacOS or is Windows required? Is it also necessary to have an Android device? I have an Android, but it's weak or does it matter? Thank you very much for the answer, sorry for the stupid and amateurish questions.

Of course you can. Most developers in large companies use Macs, because it is impossible to live on Windows.
There are emulators, well, one device is not enough in any case. You need to test on several.

Good afternoon.
Yes, you can develop on anything.
I agree with my colleague Denis Zagaevsky , as a rule, they develop on MacOS or Linux. In general, it’s not very important, but it’s more convenient to develop on them.

Is it also necessary to have an Android device?

Preferably. But usually emulators are enough. Emulator from Android Studio or Genymotion
I have an Android, but it's weak or does it matter?

Important. For example, android version, etc. It all depends on what exactly you are testing. Suddenly you need with an old android to check backwards compatibility, etc.
