Is it possible to determine if a site visitor has MS Office installed?

A person came to the site, is there any way to find out if he has MS Office installed?
Just determine the presence and, preferably, the version. No other action needs to be taken.
It is clear that the sandbox, security, blah blah, but maybe there are some indirect signs?

In IE via activex , but no normal user will allow the installation of an incomprehensible component (and the unsigned ie itself will silently beat it without asking the user :)

The smartest thing you can do is to determine by the User-Agent that it has a Windows operating system. Knowing this, you can 90% assume that Word exists! If makos or lincus, immediately by.
