Is it possible to create my own Ubuntu Live with pre-installed programs?

I have a 500G SSD
I'd like to put Ubuntu on it so I can use it on any PC or Mac mini or macbook

I've tried installing the full version there but the new macs are protected and they don't see the drive as bootable, from the old macbook starts without problems. Is it possible, for example, to build my own Ubuntu Live so that all the applications I need are there and that when I open it on any computer I can use it?
