Is it possible to create artificial intelligence from the Internet?

What if a virus is thrown onto each device in the network, which will do the work of, say, 50 neurons, then, in general, we get a global network consisting of approximately (3.3 billion computers on the network according to Internet World Stats) * 50 = 164 billion artificial neurons, each of which is related to all others. And in the human brain, for example, scientists say there are 86 billion neurons. Of course, the information processing speed will be very slow, because these artificial neurons will also refer to the other side of the earth, but to speed up, you can allow them access only to neurons that are not far away (determined by ip). Of course, this is all just my imagination, but I would like to hear your opinion, is it possible to create artificial intelligence in this way? Let's fantasize)

Pure IMHO:
the problem is precisely in the creation of an artificial neuron and the connections between them. The protocols (if you can call it that) of the brain are not fully understood. Those concepts that are now - a neural network and so on - do not work like biological neurons, this is just a name for a model.

Calculate the speed of signal transmission from one neuron in the brain to another. Compare with networks.

and who benefits from it?
A virus is a kind of program.
A neuron is a type of cell.
and speaking of the Internet, you talk about the method of communication.
it's all good, but you can come up with your own name.

you just need to understand what we mean by AI, something that is able to process incoming information on its own, and make decisions on its own?
yes of course, and there are already many of them.
and trying to imitate the human brain is monstrously expensive and pointless, this is a different system, with different capabilities, and a different way of receiving and processing information. And why try to imitate what any woman gives birth for free?
It's like trying to build airplanes in the likeness of birds -> you need to create something new, and not cling to the old.

Impossible. It is possible to create a sufficiently powerful analytical system that will perform its functions quite well (but slowly), but artificial intelligence cannot be made from it. The problem is that computers were not created to solve such problems and are not able to initially process information as a person does, you can take at least a million irons, but you cannot make a calculator out of them.

The second problem of your AI is the active interaction with the environment through the senses, and the execution organs. Your virus is a black box in itself.

As one of my psychology coaches answered: “possible, but highly unlikely”, to many strange questions that began with the word “is it possible ..”
If you mean the imitation of logical (or, as it is now fashionable to say, rational) thinking - quite possible. If you mean something more - unlikely. Imitation of the irrational, emotional, intuitive, etc. thinking still can not be described by man. And in order to implement something, you must first understand how it should work.
Again, in my humble opinion, as a person who has long been fond of hypnosis, neurolinguistics, epistemology and other terrible words.
And of course, the most important thing is the old Indian question "anahua?"
