Is it possible to create a portable user account on external media?
There are two PCs under Linux (Runtu and Slackware). Each already has one user account (not counting root, of course). On one of the PCs there is no network interface at all (and there is no way to install it). Sometimes I need to use one or the other PC.
Is it possible to create an additional account on external media and use it on both PCs? For example, mount the flash drive as /home/user. And will there be major pitfalls with this approach? Especially given the different distributions.

in udev we enter a rule so that when a usb flash drive with a certain uid is connected, a certain directory is bound as /home/user/ on both computers.
option 2: when connecting
each flash drive, check for the presence of a directory with a specific path, and if it exists, then bind it as /home/user
What for? Describe the task more specifically - what you want to achieve with this.
A user's directory is never a user, except for the directory itself, you must have a user with matching IDs.
bash configs, etc. also questionable - aliases for non-existent utilities, etc.
In general, there is an opportunity, the only question is what for it is needed and is it worth it :)
