Is it possible to create a file server at home?

Hello.
I’m interested in the question, is it possible to assemble a computer at home, using it as a server for storing files, followed by distribution in the form of links on the site, what kind of hardware is needed for this , will it pull all NAS devices, or is it still better to assemble it yourself? The channel at home is 100Mbps, the site is small, about 1000 hours a day, online is always somewhere around 50-80 people. I know that you can rent a server with 1trb. disk, but still want to try at home.

The term NAS is a general term. You need your NAS model.

The channel may pull it out, but will it pull us out??
And can you provide sufficient uptime at home?

After the provider notices abnormally high outgoing traffic, they will definitely present something to you (in the sense of the type of claim or demand to switch to a tariff for legal entities), read the contract again with the home provider.

I don’t have a NAS, I’m just wondering if they will be extended or not, I’m interested in the provider’s account, I distribute torrents, for the last 31 days 752GB came out, and it always comes out about 500-700 gigabytes per month, the speed does not drop, I didn’t receive any complaints, the Kyivstar operator, but what will happen when the traffic, for example, exceeds 2trb, I don’t know, there is nothing in the contract about this.

Here it is necessary not to think about iron, but about the criminal code. There have already been courts in such cases, the prospects are quite unambiguous.
