Is it possible to compile c# for windows on linux?
Good afternoon!
Is it possible to compile c# for windows on linux?
In fact, I have a project written in Windows (Visual Studio) and the task is to compile it to run on WIndows on a Linux machine (Ubuntu, to be more precise, but I think this is not so important).
UPD 1 : Oh yes, everything needs to work as it is, i.e. it is not necessary that the teacher should have installed something third-party on the WIndows machine.

Something will work on Xamarin, but the easiest way is probably to put a virtual machine with Windows, a studio there, compile it and test it at the same time.
If there are no problems with the Internet, you can get a free amazon account and deploy normal windows and studio there. There is no way to make it work 100% on the teacher's computer, because it is not known how dead it is, but ideally, you can use Spoon studio and make the project independent of Frameworks and libraries. this product costs a lot (over 4k$), but greed is cured by googling.
Do you also want to embed .net libraries in your application? Those. small softinka for coursework to make 100 meters like that? Well, here, most likely, only mono will suit you, but you will have to do a lot of shamanism to collect everything in the form of a single package.

But do you need it?
