Is it possible to change the sql query of a component to select data in 1C Bitrix?

There is a component in 1s Bitrix, standard, as far as I understand, the component.phplogic is described in the component folder in the file, templates/имя_шаблона/template.phpthe template itself is described in the file. The question is, is there some kind of hook, or something where you can change the sql query to fetch the data?
There is also such a file: result_modifier.php, but it does not change the query, but allows you to add data to the already formed result set before outputting it to the template.
