Is it possible to change someone else's model for use in the game?

Good day, I'm interested in the following question. Can I take someone else's model and, by changing the textures, changing the location of a couple of polygons, use it in my game? Indeed, in fact, it will not be a copy of the original model.

If you plagiarize something beyond recognition, then it will be easier to excuse yourself. Otherwise, the consequences are here. Is it possible to use other people's models and textures in the game? Gentlemen, creators, artists, animators, and everyone who wants to imitate or use what has already been invented. As long as you are in the shadow of another creator who has conquered the public, you will not rise to the skies. Rather than racking your brains about how to use someone else's, you would come up with your own, UNIQUE, much faster. Good luck in your work.

Can you take someone else's book, change the title in it, change a couple of words, and pass it off as your own? Indeed, in fact, it will not be a copy of the original book.
