Is it possible to capitalize the image file name?

When uploading images to WordPress, I leave the name of the image file not just IMG_601.jpg, but write it in Russian.

Example 1. Professor Ivanov at the exhibition FRIO.jpg

The WordPress transliteration engine preserves the case of the letters exactly as in the title.
Example 2. Professor-Ivanov-na-vystavke-FRIO.jpg

Google indexes images not only by alt, but also by the file name itself.
But here's the problem:
The source code for the pages in the scr image has uppercase letters. (as example 2)
The names of the files themselves on the server also have uppercase letters. (as example 2)
But when re-indexing images, I see in the logs that Google accesses the files, replacing capital letters with small ones. And the server, in turn, gives 404!
Example 3. professor-ivanov-na-vystavke-frio.jpg

Now how do you know this?
The option in the forehead - to rename all the images so that there are no capital letters and make corrections to the database - is difficult.
Is it possible somehow, I don’t even know what exactly , to set up the wordpress file addresses from examples 2 and 3 to stick together?
Something like automatic 301 redirect for images via .htaccess?
I want to hear your opinion. Thank you for your advice.

Nearly 10!
1. Not 301, but QSA+NC rule to make case-insensitive issuance.
2. mod_speling
3. Or drive everything through a script. (quite an extreme case!)
