Is it possible to build a switch in a TV tap?
Greetings.
There is a common TV cable running through the riser and on each floor there is a coupler for four outlets. Interested in options for stopping the TV signal. Unscrewing the cable is not an option. Is there any way to build some sort of switch directly into this splitter, or some other way to interrupt the signal? Maybe some ready-made devices are sold for convenient and inconspicuous "manipulation" of the signal?
PS
If anything, then this is for my beloved neighbors, they create a specific atmosphere, make sure that I am aware of the political life in the country, sometimes I listen to musical hits, shootouts from TV shows and other stories with them.

The device is called, "antenna switch". It is sold in radio parts stores and, probably, can be found in some MVideo.
As correctly noted, a needle stuck into the cable completely stops the signal (albeit all at once) and it is extremely difficult to find it. Of course, in no case should this be done, it is illegal, and they can figure out a bully who is fined for this by access cameras.
I also remember how he taught such neighbors to good music, as soon as they turned on theirs. Fortunately, the amplifier and acoustics allowed. Two sessions were enough, we learned how to adjust the volume.
Of course, there is the most correct and reliable way - just talk and explain that it is not good to do this. You can have a conversation with the participation of the district police officer so that they can better understand.
Well, the most reliable way is to move out of town to your home. As the Norwegians say, the best neighbor is the neighbor whose house is not visible beyond the horizon line)
