Is it possible to build a career as a front-end or back-end developer knowing Python instead of JS?

I know Python, and I want to become a front-end or back-end developer, and the question is, do I need to learn JavaScript to build a career or can I build a career with Python?
PS I know about HTML, CSS, PHP
