Is it possible to automatically mount an Ext4 partition from a MicroSD card when Android boots?
Subject. At one time, before Android 4, MicroSD cards were automatically mounted with either Ext2-Ext4 or NTFS on boot. Starting with Android 5, these actions require dancing with tambourines.
I tried several different solutions:
1) First I mounted with a command,
2) then I made a shortcut for mounting,
3) then I added the mount to init.rc.
The last option is not very good. Since if I insert another MicroSD with another FS, the system will not boot. In addition, the card can have several sections, I would like to see them all.
In addition, partitions must be unmounted when the phone is turned off or rebooted. Otherwise, fsck will complain about the partition.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong? Is there an option somewhere to mount the microSD card automatically?
