Is it possible in Linux to remember the language on a certain window, like in Windows?

In Windows, I got used to the fact that if I write in the IDE in Latin, then switching to the browser, I write in the chat in Russian without switching layouts. Each window "remembers" which layout it was working on before defocusing.
At work, I often have to work in Linux (more precisely, constantly). Therefore, I decided to install Linux at home too (Debian 10, dm Ciannomon). Already in half an hour it started to piss me off that I constantly need to switch between layouts, since the layout is installed globally, immediately - both on the console, and on the browser, and on Pidgin for example.
At work, I didn’t really notice this, since I only work in the console. But at home - with the usual desktop flattering - it's horrendous.
Is there any crutch, or maybe a tick where to put it?

I've been using it for who knows how many years, more than ten for sure.
