Is it possible for an artist to make money in web design?
Hello guys. Can you please tell me if it is possible to apply my knowledge of drawing in the field of web design? Or does the artist still need to choose a different direction for making money? if so, please kindly let me know.

An artist, IMHO, is better as a concept or illustrator (why bury talents in the ground?). In game dev, for example, which is still actively developing, especially since there are directions for every taste - from cartoons and nyashek to noir.
Look, for example, at the CG Speak channel on YouTube , there are recordings of streams with fairly well-known Russian-speaking cg artists and they talk not only about drawing.
Z.Y. - more good and different artists!
In fact, there are promo sites where the emphasis is on design, and not on the interface. Seek and find. Look for studios that emphasize graphic design, like this one: pirogov.ru
It’s just really possible for an artist to make money in web design, and not in art.
Because design pays more.
I looked at hh and found only 3 vacancies above 90tr per month for artists.
And for designers - more.
In web design, with the skills acquired in art school, you can’t really clear up, but this knowledge will help a lot in the future (it helped me). Master digital drawing methods, if you want to earn money through the Internet, you will create illustrations. You can, of course, write on the material, and then scan / take a picture and convert it to digital. But it's easier to work in editors right away.
There is a demand for various styles such as watercolor, pencil graphics, etc. So there will be work.
But, having only an art education, you should not immediately start creating websites)) Web design has many nuances, and it is also better to learn this first.
In general, draw and create. In the future, all art can be sold without any problems on Shutterstock, CreativeMarket and thousands of other sites for creative people. there are also those where you upload your art and people buy all sorts of t-shirts / mugs / pillows with this art.
Vita_min , the average illustrator usually earns better than the average web designer. So keep moving in that direction, and definitely don't fill your head with all sorts of HTML. Get "Wacom bamboo" and master the technique of drawing by layers in Photoshop and vector in Illustrator. If it works - take "Wacom intuos pro" and continue. You will quickly realize that this is not oil, of course, but it also has its own charm.
As an alternative solution - try yourself in a tattoo.
