1. Outbid. They don’t sell specific lots, there are a lot of laptops (as well as points of sale), so the serial number doesn’t shine so that you can’t later throw a claim that they sent the wrong thing.
2. Trite safety! Don't forget about hackintoshniks, they scour the web looking for serial numbers to substitute it for their hack. What happens in life is that sellers usually unbind "find a poppy" before selling, because their serial number is ideal for incorporating them into their hacks. The consequences can be such that when a real poppy is activated later, the message "the function to find a poppy is enabled on such and such a mail" will hang. It doesn't work very well...
