Is it necessary to write the name of the site in Cyrillic, in particular in the logo?

I work for a foreign company on an interesting and unique healthcare project. Our foreign colleagues gave us a new version of the site, which needs to be localized in Russia.
The question arose: is it necessary to write the name of the site in Cyrillic, in particular in the logo?
Many claim that it is fashionable, for example, Facebook did this, and some say that Latin is better, easier and more pleasant.
What do you think? Is this a trend or what?

My opinion is no, it's not worth it. I did not notice such a trend (and, I hope, it never will be).

I don't think it's necessary. Facebook just proves that you should not do this :)
On the one hand, StroySevGaz looks funny (an example made up, although it may exist), on the other hand, Google looks no less funny in the logo.

To stand out among other logos you can try.
If you decide, you can create a Cyrillic logo for free at www.logaster.ru
