Is it necessary to make a website in Photoshop?
I noticed that some people make websites in Flash, layouts there, guides, but is it necessary? I am learning to write websites in html, css and do not make any layouts in photoshop, but maybe this is now such a trend, so to speak, fashion? What do you say?

Photoshop is no longer a trend and fashion in the environment of website design tools. It's like a de facto standard! Because of its convenience, prevalence, millions of lessons, etc. etc. Of course, there are also Adobe Illustrator, Gimp and a bunch of other editors, but this is a small percentage of use for "drawing" pages of sites and applications. Although all this, as they say, is an amateur. You need to use the tool that you like and convenient for you.
And the fact that you don’t use editors now and write the layout code right away only means that the sites are simple. And time wagon. ) Basically, as mentioned above, with a normal division of labor, when creating any more or less complex project, everyone does their own thing. And now Photoshop and other Adobe products do a lot of work for the designer - they cut layouts themselves and pull out styles, etc.
It was a kind of introduction :)
And the answer to the question - if you are going to devote yourself to layout, then yes - you need to know Photoshop or Illustrator. Knowing one of these editors will save you a lot of time and increase your chances of getting a job or looking for jobs as a philanthropist. Yes, and for your own development is very useful!
the trend now is mockups and prototypes

Another thing is that in the final project, of course, all the buttons of the icon should be neat, and this can help Photoshop to
paint all the screenshots in Photoshop at the prototyping stage - this is when the designer has nothing else to do, and the salary goes
He worked as a layout designer in a web studio where he was a full-time designer.
The designer was involved in layouts, and in order to protect myself from cutting the layout, I taught the designer how to do this and received an already cut layout with the data that was required for layout.
Therefore: layouts are made by designers, layout designers - typesetting, programmers - programming. Or are you a jack of all trades? :)
And on the question: of course, the design of the site must first be agreed with the customer. Because a preview (jpg) is sent to the customer and the format of the design layouts is not specified in the TOR, the designer can draw in any program that is convenient for him to work with. If only he could cut then either he or the typesetter.
