Is it legal to use non-activated Windows 10?

Good afternoon dear experts. The question arose about installing the OS on a new computer. I plan to install Windows 10 through the official image from the company's website without further activation. But the question is, is it legal? It is clear that reminders will pop up and there will be some limitation of functionality. The question is the legality of use after the end of the trial period without activation. Buying a license for 5-10 sput is somehow expensive. It is better to install Linux or Ubuntu. And I would also like to know how someone gets out of the situation? Thanks in advance for the replies.

Illegal.
And there is no trial period in Windows 10.

5. Authorized software and activation.
You may use the software only if you are properly licensed and the software has been properly activated using a genuine product key or other authorized means.

(⊙_⊙)
Install Linux Mint (well, or optionally - Ubuntu). Mint is simpler, and more focused on the home user.

No. Illegal.
Why do you need Windows in 2020?
Let's say in 2003 it was clear why it was needed, in Lieux a lot of desktop things did not work.

And now almost any tasks without Windows are calmly solved.

Yes.
You are not required by law to activate Windows.
The main thing is to have the permission of the copyright holder - a license.
And the rest is not important. Therefore, you bought a license and work quietly, but you can score on activation.
