Is it important to know the mechanical part of programming for a beginner?

At the moment I am learning programming from the book "You don't know Javascript" (my first book to read on this subject). And already in the second chapter, it tells in a language that is very incomprehensible to me, how the compiler works, some browser engines, etc.
So, should I really study this thoughtfully now, or can I abstract from the theory of how browsers work, etc. and learn directly the basics of the language itself and writing code?

You can abstract and then return when it becomes relevant. The main thing is to understand approximately what is there and at what point it will need to be read.

learning to program (read - learn to program) in JS is the same as learning to drive a car with a bulldozer. JS is not at all suitable for learning to program.

No
