Is it difficult to migrate a site from Joomla to Wordpress?
Hello.
Tell me, please, is it difficult to transfer a site from Joomla to Wordpress? There is, of course, the FG Joomla to WordPress plugin, but something is too simple. What should be taken into account?

The solution turned out to be the following: ctrl-s download the site, then transfer it to WP (we connect styles, add pictures, etc.).
The site is a set of files interconnected by logical links, designed by programmatic methods.
Question 1: what is the site? The migration of an online store is different from the migration of a landing page.
Question 2: Why are you moving? Does the benefit of WP really outweigh all the hassles of migrating a site, including possible data/performance losses etc.? Many stores fell for advertising the miracle of Bitrix and left for it from self-written engines - now customers complain about the site's endless brakes.
And just doesn't always mean bad.
Try FG Joomla to WordPress , but be prepared that WordPress will have to make a new site from scratch and transfer content with a parser
I made such a move, about 5 years ago, and at that time it was a 9-year-old site with joomla version 1 yet - I transferred it to the last WP at that time - I don’t remember exactly what WP version was then.
Then I transferred the main thing with plugins - the user base and articles. But in principle, this is what skillful hands can do without plugins, but it was easier for me then. Everything else - everything that was implemented in joomla with the help of extensions, had to be transferred manually - for example, there was a photo gallery, a large archive, everything was handled.
Those. not counting the user base and articles, we can say that the entire site was made anew.
