How to display new news on top in joomla 3?

Hello!
How to display new news on top in joomla 3? Everything has already been covered, nothing helps, the order of the materials is the newest first, I tried automatically and the old ones first (all of a sudden it’s the other way around), I tried to combine settings in the material manager, menu manager, which settings I didn’t change anymore ... Type of menu item: Selected materials. The materials themselves are selected. Can you please help me to solve this embarrassing moment?

I set the category order as "Do not arrange" in the material manager and it worked, new news is at the top now) Strange, of course, but it works...
