Is it dangerous to give remote access to a laptop?
Guys, hello everyone!
I decided to consult with you, not long ago a Chinese offered me a deal, I created an account on Upwork, he works there and pays me 15-20% interest. I thought about it and agreed, created an account, together with him, he poked a little there and everything disappeared, but this topic interested me and I decided to find another daredevil, as a result I found a site where ads like hang, I’ll rent an account. In general, I found one, everyone agreed, he asked me to download anydesk and give him access 24/7.
So, for two days I watched him and he practically didn’t look for a job, so he poked his profile, changed something and everything there, I decided to turn off the computer, I think it still doesn’t work, he immediately wrote that it was necessary to turn it back on, like it works! But I see that he didn’t even respond to tasks, and then I had doubts, maybe he uses my computer in some other way?
As a result, I blocked his access and started looking for another ... How surprised I was when I found another and he also asked me to install anydesk, well, I think, apparently the program is popular, but the situation almost repeated itself, only he responded to a couple tasks and also asked to leave the computer, like it works. In general, doubts torment me, I noticed that all of them (there were 3 different Chinese) asked to install anydesk, when I asked why, when I already have teamviwer, they said that they had some kind of lag with it. The most interesting thing is that they just open the site and Upwork and that’s it, the browser is idle, but what’s interesting is that I hear how the laptop performs some tasks, although there is only a full-window browser on the screen.
In general, I installed a spy program, tonight I downloaded a report from the memory buffer and there were a couple of interesting things, like: “he saw, he won’t like it” and something else, some passwords, although there was nothing on the screen something like that, maybe they somehow hide what they are doing on the laptop. I think that these are actually black brokers, I would like to hear your thoughts on this matter, can anyone come across?

Of course it's dangerous.
You might also ask if it's dangerous to give your house keys to a stranger on the street.
They can do criminal acts.
And they put you in.
Check if you've been scammed from the CPU
If the computer is working, then it's fucking dangerous!
Even if you do not see the work, it is not a fact that it does not exist. "Vulnerabilities" have not yet been canceled. It is quite possible that someone has found such a vulnerability and is taking full advantage of it.
But even without this, a working AnyDesk allows you to work with any computer files without problems or stupidly record all your actions from the screen. The only limitation is the bandwidth of AnyDesk itself.
Magic Code , for this people came up with virtual machines and VPNs.
You make a virtual machine, connect via VPN and install Anydesk there.
There is nothing on a naked virtual machine, respectively, you won’t lose anything (and you won’t pick it up), and a VPN is needed so that you don’t shine anywhere with your IP address.
If the money is still paying, think about VDS / VPS in general.
Yes! Do not forget to protect your router well and do not show your local network to the virtual machine.
And giving your car to a chela from China (yes, to anyone), this is generally nonsense.
And why didn’t you immediately send your laptop to this Chinese? What kind of half measures?!
Didn't find what you were looking for?
