Is it correct to recalculate the allowable current?

Hello.
Suppose there is a connector whose specifications say:

Current rating: 9A AC/DC
Voltage rating: 600V AC/DC

Is it acceptable to convert this to watts and then divide by the actual voltage?

That is, if the connector will be used at a load voltage of 12V, does this mean that up to 9 * 600 / 12 = 450A can be allowed through the connector?

PS actually load 15A at 12V.

No, you don't understand correctly.
And at a current of 450A, your contacts will melt))
