Is it considered normal practice to make a custom column in bootstrap 4? The question arose as a result of the need to make a column at a resolution of 1500 px. If it is considered normal practice to implement custom columns, then tell me the best option with this implementation.

Good / bad depends not on "what you do" , but on "how you do it" .
Take it as sass, override whatever you want, rebuild, use - good practice.
Getting in with your styles and putting in a crutch is bad practice.
