Is it bad if the laptop gets very hot?
I have an ultrabook from Asus, the laptop is good fast, it keeps charging for a long time. But if something is very difficult to launch, like me, for example, dota, then it starts to warm up and active cooling turns on. Will something inside deteriorate from high temperatures. Is it harmful to allow a laptop to such a state?

Well, for games, buy a stand with a cooler, it will not be superfluous. And so, if the laptop becomes ill from temperatures, it will understand this and turn off in an emergency.
At geektimes, there were several articles that in some laptop models, the board either warps due to overheating, or the lead-free solder melts, and there is a problem with the video chip contacts. I have never encountered this, but it is still better to take the laptop to the workshop so that they clean the cooling system and replace the thermal paste. Thermal paste dries out and stops working.
Damn me. What do you think between 39 degrees on passive cooling and 40 on active cooling is a big difference (numbers are random)?
If you want to protect the ultrabook from overheating, set the cooling switch to a lower temperature.
It depends on the laptop model, first of all. Naturally, a very hot laptop is NOT normal, but on the other hand, many budget and mid-range ultrabooks suffer from overheating. As noted above, at critical temperatures, the laptop will turn itself off. If it doesn't bother you, don't panic.
