Is it bad to leave your PC on at night? Everywhere they say, sometimes it's harmful, sometimes it's harmless - you won't understand.

Of course it is harmful, there is a chance not to go to bed at all. And iron don't care.

It is harmful because electronics wear out mainly not from work, but when turned on and off. Transient processes are there, self-destructive, so to speak ... Discharged capacitors are charged when turned on, and the largest current in the capacitor flows just at the charge stage. Therefore, it is more harmful to turn the computer on and off here and there than it will always work.
The disadvantages are the wear of the fans, and the fact that electricity is eating, although not much. And so don't care...

Harmful. You won't lie down to sleep :)
It happens and vice versa. My child could not get used to sleeping without the noise of a working computer for a long time :)
