Is it acceptable to start projects like Quora or TheQuestion with mobile development?

I'm new and I'm thinking about learning iOS (Swift) and Python development. I'm wondering if the big projects I've listed ever start on mobile. That is, I am interested in whether I will be limited in this regard if I choose mobile development.

In my opinion, when you need to write a lot of text, mobile first is not the best choice. Except messengers.
