If you think that a tablet can replace your laptop, then take it. I suspect that the macbook is more powerful.

This is a very ridiculous comparison, to be honest. Macbook is a laptop, that is, a full-fledged computer. The iPad is just a photo frame with Internet access. If you only need to flip through photos and surf social networks, then of course take the iPad. But why did you buy a Macbook at all then? Macbook is a working tool. You don't buy yourself a huge truck to drive to work, do you? Decide for yourself why you need the device.

The question is not very correct. Both devices have several specifications (in the iPad, however, 6GB of RAM does not differ from 4). According to the characteristics, of course, the MacBook should still be more powerful, probably even with any specification. True, he is still morally and physically outdated, in some tasks he will slow down, he will not last long. The iPad, in turn, has absorbed a lot of cool technologies and shows itself very, very well in video editing (a reservation is needed that it will be more familiar, more convenient and more correct to mount video on a desktop OS, but you can mount small and medium projects on an iPad) and, of course, drawing. And the iPad will serve you much longer than the MacBook five years ago.
In general, everything depends on the tasks.
