Is implementing an Android application with a similar UI to another application considered copyright infringement?

Good afternoon,
Such introductory:
There is a very popular application in the android market. Its GUI is very convenient and simple.
I am currently developing an application that serves completely different purposes. I draw ideas for the GUI from that application: the location of components, the location of icons, etc. At the moment, the UI similarity is about 75%.
Tell me, when publishing on google play, can the author of that application file a complaint against me for copy-pasting UI?
Thank you!

If you didn’t completely borrow the markup and images from him, it will be problematic to prove something, but they can still be banned, because judging by the reviews, they got banned for less

If material design - then no. Even if claims appear, then "I did according to Google's guides, right now all applications have become the same."
