Is hard drive hum harmful to other PC components?
Hello. The system unit has two 5400rpm HDDs with a capacity of 2Tb each - quiet, you can't hear them (WD PURX). Under the system, a faster HDD 7200rpm (WD RE) is used - the noisiest link. This HDD has such an unpleasant property as a hum during operation - a monotonous, well-audible hum, occasionally pulsing. There are vibrations from this disk, but not large, the body does not shake. However, there is concern - are these vibrations harmful to the rest of the components? In particular, for other hard drives and do they destroy, for example, the soldering of components?

Pike is not.
A large number of disks in a dense arrangement can suffer from the mutual influence of vibrations. Some enthusiasts yelled at the hard drives (through the audio amplifier) and that made them run slower.
You can reassure yourself by putting silicone spacers into the disc mounts.
Any vibration is harmful. The question is degree. And it is impossible to say how much without seeing these same vibrations, body, materials and other things.
noise no
vibration yes
if it vibrates a lot usually gaskets are used
