We type Site Search in Google, we see the first link:
www.google.com/sitesearch/ ‎ go
and immediately get to:
www.google.com/enterprise/search/products/gss.html
and see the new design and “Prices that fit For sites smaller, Google Site Search starts at just $100 for up to 20,000 annual searches...”

When was it free? There is Site Search, and there is free Custom Search .

Now it’s clear why the customer bogged me to install the sphinx instead of google search.
