Is design worth it? A few questions?

Such situation. I am a 4th year mechanical engineer, design engineer/technologist.
I came to the conclusion that the work is unpromising in Russia (so that you understand - in my city even super-experienced specialists do not see more than 70). Already tried to do programming, but it's definitely not my thing.
But the design is more or less suitable for my specialty, and for me personally.
So far, I consider the direction of motion as probably the most promising. I plan to first deal with the affter effect, then with 4d cinema, then take some general design courses to understand light, color matching, etc.
How good is this plan? What else could be added?
And the next point: is it worth doing motion at all? By specialty, I modeled a lot in CADs, purely static objects. Does it make sense to do static 3d modeling? Not to draw kitchens in 3d max in Ikea for 30 thousand, but something more promising.
Well, the last question, I would like to ask those who once also started almost from scratch.
What are the deadlines to focus on? How long does it take to study ae, 4d, after what time is it really possible to go to the first freelance or look for an internship?

If you want to focus on 3D, then it is better to consider the game industry as a perspective. As a rule, there is a good RFP and specialists with hands from the right place to grab. I won’t tell you in which software exactly the models, if it’s interesting, I think you can find out for yourself.
As for motion, I can’t say for sure, but it seems to me that more often in large companies this function is performed by universal designers (I drew the interface, filed the landing, mounted a video on it).

Change city or country. At some point, your needs will begin to coincide with your capabilities.
Well, or break off.

well, in any case, you need to move, I think the swindlers in your city don’t get 30

Do you think that in design you will earn relatively more? The bulk of these designers are sitting on a salary of up to 60,000 at best. If we talk about freelancing, then you won’t always pull out thirty.

which one is yours? Even in Moscow, 70 is quite normal salary for many mortals.

bad, because

- the plan sucks.
Programmers are still sometimes needed (although even in Moscow there are not very many worthy places), but where you are going to work on some kind of design is a very controversial issue.
How long does it take to start freelancing for the first time?
Freelancing doesn't make money. freelancing is not a job, but a myth for naive young men who firmly believe that there is a place in the world where you can easily and without straining to earn good money.
