Is an HD display enough?

Hello, every day I understand more and more that I need a laptop.
The choice fell on two models: Lenovo Thinkpad T460 and T460s
If everything is clear with the T460s, then questions arise with the T460.
A more popular configuration is with an HD screen, are there any advantages of such screens (less tired eyes? more autonomy?), and is FHD resolution so important for a programmer?
Is there a particular performance difference between the Intel Core i5-6200U and i7-6600u?
Which model is best for everyday use and training?

Here's a CPU comparison cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i7-6600U-vs-Intel-Core... the difference is minimal.
FHD is more convenient for programming, although at 14 inches it is small, but tolerable.

For 14 inches 1600x900 that's it.
fullhd is too much, 1280x720 is not enough.

If the weight and size is not very critical - I would take 15.6. Still, 14 is too small. A 15.6 fits perfectly into a backpack.

The standard misconception is that the eye gets tired of small print. The eye is the same organ as any muscle. The more the text runs around the eye, the greater the path traveled by the eye. Accordingly, the eye gets tired faster. The main thing is to choose the right distance to the monitor.
