Is a second higher education relevant for a programmer in the field of medicine?

Good afternoon!
I would like to know your opinions.
Having an education as an information systems developer, does it make sense to get a second higher education in the field of medicine?
More specifically, does the market need specialists with knowledge of these two specializations? For example, for the development of medical systems.

First, about myself: by education I am a psychiatrist, by position I am a leading business analyst in a company that writes medical software.
In general, in order to write accounting software, you do not need to be an accountant, and here. Of course, it's easier to understand what people want when you've been through the same thing as them. But here there is not so much a significant difference, a year of work (only very, very tightly) with a good analyst - everything will be fine.
To what extent are specialists in medical informatics in general in demand? Very in demand. The market is only developing, the field is not plowed.
PS If you want to work in the field of medical informatics - write, we can talk.

At our Faculty of Automation and Control Technologies, a parallel graduating department was associated with the development of automated control systems in medicine. I don't think you should study to be a doctor. I managed to work in several science-intensive projects, where the lack of knowledge in scientific disciplines was compensated by close contact with scientists. So don't waste your time.

No.
A programmer may not know the subject area (more precisely, to know only the very basics), for the rest there are analysts.

the market may need it - evidence-based medicine will gradually gain momentum, and IT is needed for it, well, ordinary insurance - but you won’t make a career without being a doctor, therefore it’s better to remain an IT specialist and grow in this

It makes sense to become a doctor, if only you want to save lives, you need a calling for this, being a medical programmer is the norm, but being a medical programmer is strange.
