Is a paid CryproPro required to link tax and digital signatures?
I am studying the issue of working with EDS, which can now be obtained "for free" (bring only a certified media). However, from the documentation it turns out that in order to work in the personal account of the IP in the tax office, you need to install a plug-in in the browser, which in turn wants to have Crypto Pro, which is paid .
Did I understand correctly?
That is, to work with a free CES EDS from the tax office, you need to buy both the Media and the CryptoPro license?

Crypto-pro is a crypto provider.
For the EDS to work, a crypto provider is required, but Crypto-pro is not required. There are free crypto providers, but they are hard, crooked and difficult to work with. Use either the Crypto-pro trial, it is given for six months. Or buy the unlimited version. It costs a couple of thousand and closes the issue with the crypto provider forever.
PS Until this year, EDS was issued only by commercial UCs and they asked for another 5 tr. in addition to the cost of the carrier and the crypto provider, it was necessary to renew annually. And no one buzzed. And now you are buying for 2 tr. Crypto-pro, for 500 r a carrier and you can write an EDS on it, received in the tax office for at least a hundred years.
PPS If you decide to take Crypto-pro, take the perpetual version. All sellers strive to sell a subscription for a year, which is only 2-3 times cheaper than the perpetual version.
