Is a MacBook video card and a MacBook video chip the same thing?

As far as I understand, all macbooks have video chips, and copywriters write the “video card” because of the keys or to make it clearer to people. Or not?

IMHO, the video card includes: a video chip, shader pipelines (are they soldered separately yet?), chip power subsystem, video memory, monitor connectors.
