Is a mac on m1 good for cyber security?

Hello everyone, I entered the specialty of cybersecurity and also develop for iOS (Swift). And I do not know what laptop to take. I wanted to take a top mbp on m1, but it's embarrassing that the software will not work on it.

If you are going to deal with holes in the apple - well, then it's a normal choice. If holes in linux or Windows - doubtful. Okay, there is software, more knowledge of how the axis works and the ability to check your guesses will be needed. And how to check them on a laptop with an apple? A virtual machine is far from always an option - how, for example, to check the spectrum on it? :)

Studying and cybersecurity involves working with a large amount of documents, including Excel with macros. I doubt that the office suite for Mac will have all the features of the Windows version. And if they are not, you run the risk of not opening the file sent to you at school.
