Is a book on C++ by R. Laforet suitable for learning PL from scratch?

Hello. I started learning C++ and the question arose: did I choose a normal book?
I teach according to the book "Object-Oriented Programming in C ++" - R. Laforet. Is it suitable for me if I am practically zero in programming? Or should I quit and start another one (advise which one, please)?

Learning C Programming
David Griffiths, Don Griffiths
And then I would take up C ++
The book will take no more than one week, but it will colorfully describe all your shortcomings and clearly explain all the information (for the most part, there are pictures and tasks in the book, I studied like this - I advise on this)

I would advise starting with Shieldt and then moving on to Deitel. And after already Stroustrup 4th edition and Scott Myers' books Effective C ++, but the last author, provided that before that you normally studied everything both the language and the use of OOP in it.
