Is 8gb ram enough for java?
I have a choice between these two:
Dell inspiron 7779
Lenovo yoga 710-14
Dell's solution has 16 GB of RAM, while lenovo has 8 GB
True, dell has a 17-inch screen and weighs 3 kg, which is not very convenient when transferring.
The lenovo ultrabook measures 14 inches, no more, no less, and it weighs
1.6kg, which is pretty light.
Also, lenovo seems to me a little more reliable than dell, it's a pity that only 8 GB of memory for lenovo is the limit.
Don't care about the size and take a dell or 8 GB is enough and take a lenovo?

From my own experience I will say - 8GB is enough for Java. Anyway, this was enough for me to work with 10+ projects in NetBeans under Mint / Ubuntu and use the browser and SoapUI. If you need a virtual machine at hand, then 8GB will not be enough. IMHO, but these laptops have a weak point not in memory, but in a low-voltage processor.
